Singapore Safety IEC 60950:1998 will be expired

As from now till 31 March 2010, under Singapore Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration scheme, IT product comply to IEC 60950:1998 or IEC 60950-1:2001 are acceptable for COC application. From 01 April 2010 onward, minimum version of the standard for COC application on IT product will revised to IEC 60950-1:2001. Regulator also informed that the policy to accept testing and certification to the latest version of applicable IEC standards remain unchanged. This meant if your product was evaluated to IEC 60950-1:2001 or IEC 60950-01:2005, both are acceptable for COC application.
